Disclaimer
Softkey Tools provides developer utilities for convenience and general informational purposes. Please read this disclaimer carefully before using the site and relying on its output.
No Professional Advice
The content, guides, and tool outputs on this website are provided for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on this site constitutes legal, financial, security, compliance, cryptographic, or any other form of professional advice.
In particular, tool outputs relating to cryptographic hashing, token generation, password generation, barcode encoding, and regular expressions are development aids. They are intended to help you understand formats and debug problems during development. They are not substitutes for a formal security review, a professional cryptographic audit, or the advice of a qualified practitioner in any field.
You are responsible for independently testing and validating any output before using it in a production environment, in a live system, or in any context where an incorrect result could cause harm.
Accuracy and Completeness
We aim to implement each tool correctly against the published specifications it is based on, and we cite those specifications on each tool page so you can verify our implementation. However, we do not warrant that the website, its tools, or its written guides are free from errors, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
Software has bugs. Specifications are sometimes ambiguous. Browsers implement standards inconsistently. Edge cases exist that we have not tested. If a tool produces a result you cannot reconcile with the published specification or your own understanding, verify it with an independent implementation before treating the result as authoritative.
If you find an error in a tool result or in a written explanation, please report it to support@softkeylabs.com with the input, the result you received, and the result you expected. We review reports and publish corrections.
Security-Related Tools
Several tools on this site deal with security-adjacent subjects: generating passwords and tokens, hashing text with SHA-256 and MD5, decoding and signing JSON Web Tokens, and inspecting unknown credentials. These tools are aimed at developers who are building and debugging systems, not at operators making access-control decisions in real time.
Generating a password with this tool does not make it secure if it is stored incorrectly, transmitted without encryption, or reused across systems. Hashing a value with SHA-256 or MD5 does not protect it from exposure if the hash is stored without a salt or if the underlying value is guessable. Decoding a JSON Web Token does not verify its signature. We state these limits explicitly on each relevant tool page; please read them before drawing conclusions about a security posture.
Production authentication, authorisation, credential storage, and key management decisions belong in your own systems and should be reviewed by people who are accountable for them. Use these tools to learn and to debug, not to make security guarantees.
Availability and Changes
We do not guarantee that this website will be continuously available, uninterrupted, or accessible from all locations. We may change, add, withdraw, or temporarily suspend any tool or section of the site at any time and without prior notice.
The written guides, reference tables, and tool descriptions reflect the understanding of the people who wrote them at the time of writing. They may not reflect subsequent changes to the underlying specifications or standards. Check the published date and any update date shown on each guide for an indication of how recently the content was reviewed.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Softkey Solutions Ltd, its employees, contractors, and agents accept no liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss or damage arising from your use of this website or reliance on its outputs, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profit, business interruption, or reputational harm.
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
